GP2C markets Afton Chemical automotive additives. They respond to the latest technologies. The various cascades allow to propose economic solutions with a permanent approach of logistic and industrial optimization:
- PCMO
Wide range of PCMO packages allow to formulate engine oils starting from 0W16 meeting latest engine technologies to 20W50 used under extreme operating conditions. Formulations of passenger cars engine oils help reduce emissions, save fuel and ensure longevity of engines. In addition, the engine additives always contribute to very good anti-wear and anti-sludge protection and prevent the accumulation of deposits and contaminants.
PCMO additives meet latest API, ACEA, JASO specifications and the specifications of many manufacturers such as Mercedes Bens, Volkswagen, Renault, Ford, General Motors, PSA, etc. - HDDO
Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Oil Additives (HDDO) are designed to protect and improve the performance of engines operating on the road or in off-road applications, such as mining and construction.
Afton Chemical HDDO additives can be used to formulate lubricants that meet all truck performance requirements, including the latest API, ACEA and OEM specifications.
HDDO additives meet the current API and ACEA specifications and specifications of many manufacturers such as Volvo, MAN, Scania, Mercedes Bens, Caterpillar, Cummins, Renault, Mack, etc. - Viscosity modifiers
GP2C offers solid and liquid viscosity index improvers (VII or VM) to meet various needs of our customers.
All of our viscosity index improvers are oil soluble and are designed to be compatible with various finished oil formulations.
Viscosity modifiers based on olefin copolymer (OCP VM) or polymethacrylate (PMA VM) are highly recommended for motor or transmission oils as well as for industrial lubricants.

TRANSMISSIONS FLUIDS
- Manual transmissions
Our range of additives for automotive gear applications includes additives for manual transmissions (synchronized and unsynchronized boxes, differentials, boxes with or without limited slip) operating under shocks, under heavy loads and low rotation speed or under moderate loads and high rotation speed.
Our additives provide exceptional oil film resistance at high temperatures to reduce wear, friction and transmission noise. At low temperatures, they allow the oil to keep its fluidity to make the gearshift more comfortable.
The gear oils formulated with our additives meet API GL-4, GL-5, GL-5 LS, J2360 and a large number of OEM specifications.
Our additives can be mixed with mineral and / or synthetic oils for better performance under more demanding conditions. Certain gear additive packages can also be used to formulate industrial gear oils at very economical treat rates allowing interesting optimization solutions. - Automatic transmission
Afton Chemical is a world leader in the field of ATFs (Automatic Transmissions Fluids). The performance of its additives has been tested by most OEMs and has been proven on the ground.
With the full range of ATFs from Afton Chemical, GP2C helps design the most complete and efficient product portfolio for the maintenance market.
Continuously Variable Transmission CVT
CVT transmissions require a different additive system than automatic transmissions. Automatic transmissions use cellulose friction plates. While CVTs have a steel steel interface requiring different friction properties and strong wear protection. Afton's CVT additives have been developed in close partnerships with OEMs and meet the most stringent performance requirements. These additives are suitable for both types of CVTs: chain and belt. They improve the resistance to friction and provide a necessary performance for the life of the transmission.
Dual Clutch Transmissions
Dual clutch transmissions (DCT) allow improved fuel economy while making the gear change very comfortable. These are due to the DCT design which is still different to CVT and AT and is based on two multi-plate clutches. As a result, DCTs require oils with exceptional resistance to friction and wear. Afton Chemical's DCT additives have been used since the design of the first DCTs in 2003 and have demonstrated exceptional performance in the DCT application. - Off-road additives
